How PayTech Studio collects, uses and protects information when you visit this site or get in touch with us.

Last updated

PayTech Studio ("we", "us", "our") is part of PayTech Group. This policy explains what information we collect through paytech.studio, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only, not to any product or client system we build or operate on a customer's behalf.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: what you give us directly, and what your browser sends us automatically while you use the site.

  • Contact details you submit through our contact form or a mailto link — typically your name, email address, company and the message you send us.
  • Careers information you submit when applying to an open role, such as your CV, cover letter and any details you choose to include in them.
  • Usage data collected automatically, such as the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, your approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you.

How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries sent through the contact form or by email.
  • To review and progress a job application you have submitted.
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can keep it fast, accessible and relevant.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations, and to protect the site against misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses a small number of cookies and comparable local storage to remember basic preferences and to measure aggregate site usage through privacy-conscious analytics. These do not track you across other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will keep working, though it may forget preferences between visits.

How we share information

We share information only where it is needed to run the site and respond to you:

  • With service providers who host the site, deliver email or provide analytics on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of your data to that purpose.
  • Within PayTech Group, where an enquiry or application is better handled by a sister company or hub.
  • Where required by law, regulation or a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety or property of PayTech Studio, our users or the public.

International transfers

PayTech Studio operates from hubs in Edinburgh (UK), Pune (India) and Fujairah/Dubai (UAE), and our service providers may process data in other countries too. Where information is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfer only to jurisdictions recognised as providing adequate protection.

Data retention

We keep contact enquiries only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up. Job application data is retained for the duration of the hiring process and for a limited period after, so we can consider you for other suitable roles, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Usage data collected for analytics is retained in aggregate and is not kept in a form that identifies you for longer than necessary.

Your rights

Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or provide it to you in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and regular review of our third-party providers — to protect the information we hold. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to us over the internet.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or our practices. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised; material changes will be reflected here as soon as they take effect.
